The standard-bearer of American cycling, the Why R+ V. 3 Gravel Frameset speaks to getting outside of comfort zones and lost deep in rural territory. We're rediscovering our love of open dirt roads with this titanium frame bike. Built for the elements, titanium is naturally rust and corrosion resistant meaning we'll be getting several decades of miles from this machine. A thru-axle front and rear means we'll be able to find parts for as long as we ride the bike too. Built with gravel and long-distance bike-packing in mind, this titanium frame has clearance for 700x46mm or 27. 5x2. 1" tires. Don't be fooled by those big numbers, this frame is built for speed and optimized for running a pair of your favorite gravel crushing 700x40mm tires. Geometry and reach are checked off on the V. 3. Made to be fast, a lower road-inspired bottom bracket increases stability and keeps us out of the wind. The longer reach also helps with keeping us centered, allowing us to run a shorter stem so we can quickly react to trail obstacles. Why Cycles is using the highest quality titanium on the market, and we certainly appreciate that when we're 130 miles into a 180-mile gravel event. The frame allows for internal cable routing for a dropper post as well, meaning we'll have a clean way to get lower on the saddle. Featured on any good gravel bike, the frame includes a ton of bosses. It'll fit three large water bottles in the main triangle, and a fourth can be affixed at the bottom bracket. Rear fender bosses and disc brake-specific compatibility finish off this versatile road+ machine. The only thing more exciting than the prospect of new roads is building the perfect gravel bike to find those roads. The Why Cycles is a great bike for us to customize. With future-proof thru-axles, disc brakes, and tons of frame bosses, we can't think of a better buy-it-for-life bike. We're excited to take it on some of our old road loops, finally having a bike capable enough to take it down tempting ...
