Santa Cruz Stigmata CC CX1 complete cyclocross bike is just as happy hopping barriers on Saturday and as it is doing multi-hour all-road adventures on Sunday. The beautiful carbon frame is built up with a simple 1x drivetrain with a wide gear range, powerful hydraulic disc brakes, and generous tire clearance. This Stigmata can toe the line at any CX race, grind some gravel, and trade out pulls on the Tuesday nighter with a simple tire swap. The Stigmata started life as a cyclocross race weapon, but as the season ended, people began to take note of the bike's versatility on other terrains. Santa Cruz calls this bike "the 'cross bike for mountain bikers" and we tend to agree. If you are a dyed-in-the-wool roadie, this won't replace your dedicated road bike, but if you are more of a singletrack junkie that wants a do-it-all drop bar bike that can dabble in gravel racing, mellow trails, and road riding, this is your bike. Skinny seatstays and seattube that houses a 27. 2mm post quell road chatter, while the large downtube and oversized PF30 bottom bracket shell provide plenty of stiffness to propel you forward with any input to the pedals. Short chainstays and seat and head angles don't deviate from the norm seen on dedicated CX bikes and keep things agile for negotiating hairpins and off cambers. Swap out the tires to some more road appropriate rubber, and you won't have any trouble keeping up with the shaved leg set on fast group rides. This build comes with Maxxis Ra...
