We'll be the first to admit that we never grew out of our Wild West phase. When we were kids, we dreamed of the open frontier, the Yukon Gold Rush, and exploring deep into the mountains, prospecting for that one gold vein that we would sink our pick axe into. While we've come to terms with life on a different kind of steed than what explorers of the west rode, that adventurous spirit lives on, and Juliana's Quincy Carbon CC Frameset helps keep it alive, with its clean gold pin stripes that remind us of that gold vein still waiting for us to find it underneath a ghost town, and deep, iridescent blue that's akin to late night camp outs on the frontier, long before light pollution hid the Milky Way. And while we'd love to go on about the aesthetics, looks are far from everything on this capable steed. Juliana crafts the Quincy to take on adventures far off the beaten path, so you can go find your ghost town, with its crumbling facades of general stores and saloons, atop a capable bike that's built to hold up to the jarring terrain that we find well beyond the tarmac, and with the ability to set up the Quincy as either a 700c or 650b ride, you can get there with as much speed and comfort as your heart desires. Juliana builds the Quincy frameset with plenty of fine-tuning opportunity, offering the space you need to run either 700c or 650b wheels, and clearance to run lofty tires on either application. It features relatively slack geometry for a fully-rigid steed, with a 69. 5-degree head tube angle (size 49), providing you with a longer wheelbase for stability on uneven terrain and poorly graded gravel. But don't worry, that longer wheelbase won't leave you feeling too stretched out and sluggish, as the slacker head tube is paired up with a neatly perched, steep 74. 5-degree seat tube (size 49), allowing you to stay at the center of your cockpit and ready for the attack, should you decide to toe the line at a gravel race, or hit the sand-pits for CX season.
