To start, it's shell is crafted from carbon fiber injected nylon, providing you with a stiff shell that doesn't waiver under pressure, but just enough flex and vibration damping to keep you comfortable when you move fore and aft. The rails underneath the shell are also made from a braided carbon fiber, shaving weight wherever possible, and absorbing just a bit more of that road chatter. When it comes to cushioning your sit bones balance is key -- too much padding and you'll feel like you're on a clumsy beach cruiser, but not enough will leave you sore for days to come. Fi'zi:k takes this as a challenge, targeting thin layers of dense Comfort Core foam in the right areas, and opening things up in the middle for the Versus pressure relief channel. This channel works similarly to a cut-out, but keeps a little material for added stiffness.
