COLNAGO V2-R FRAME 2018The new V2-R is Colnago's top-of-the-line carbon fiber frame. It is lightweight, rigid, and aerodynamic resulting in a high-quality ride capable of handling all terrain. Colnago increased the bottom bracket lateral rigidity by 13% and the lateral rigidity of the headtube by 4% which translates to a bike that is more rigid and brilliant during acceleration. Cables are routed internally and both brakes are direct-mount, with the rear located at the top of the rear triangle. The benefits of direct-mount brakes are they increase braking power and are more aerodynamic. The fork is tapered from 1-1/8" to 1-1/4" and has clearance for up to a 28c tire. The seatpost is specially made for the V2-R frame, which is designed to maximize aerodynamics and comfort. The frame uses a ThreadFit 82.5 bottom bracket standard which is compatible with PressFit 86.5 bearings.
